The power of a community is the people that come together for the community.
Buddy’s kids were created in honor of Arvin A. Lewis. He was an active, respected, and influential member of the community. He took it upon himself to grab a group of neighborhood kids and create a basketball team/league when the community was at it worse. He had a chance to watch these very same kids grow up into well-respected members of our community.
Buddy’s kids are continuing his legacy by providing an outlet of opportunity for today’s kids. Buddy’s kids are constantly evolving and growing. Our mission is to give kids college exposure by having a basketball showcases/college fairs. We invite colleges/coaches from all college levels which also include juco and prep school.
Our goal is to bring a better relationship with the local high schools, prep schools, and juco coaches in the area which in return gives our kids more opportunities. Buddy’s kids are also about the classroom which all students are required to have ACT/SAT/GPA /transcript ready for the college admission counselor.
